David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy! He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis.

Other Reviews...
Barrel sample. Les Barreaux et les Ormes. 80% whole bunch (due to a miscalculation at the reception!). 30% new oak.Lightish cherry red. Really spicy from the stems and this is to Duband’s taste but he tends to reign it back for a wider audience. Fragrantly stemmy without any unripeness. Crushed strawberries. Juicy herbal-touched fruit. Light and fragrant and fine-boned. ‘My wines before 2006 [before he started using whole bunch] I don’t like’, says Duband. A dry finesse to the tannins.
