2017 Chateau des Ferrages Roumery Rose

Translucent salmon pink colour with a watery hue. Fragrant scents of rose petals intermix with white peaches, raspberries, strawberries and a stony underlay. Silky in the mouth moreish flavours of white peaches, raspberries and winter strawberries decorate the palate. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and some stony mineral elements. Medium to long aftertaste.

Located in Provence, the Château des Ferrages releases are made by the team at Chapoutier. While they fall outside the purview of this report, the quality is incredibly high, and I’m thrilled to be able to recommend them here.
The 2017 Côtes de Provence Roumery Rosé is classic Provence all the way and is juicy and crisp, with lots of salinity in its ripe strawberry and orange blossom aromas and flavors. Drink it over the coming summer months.
