Winemaker Giovanni Bortoluzzi uses a variety of clones (French, Italian and German) to produce a richer, weighty style of Pinot Grigio whilst still retaining the varietals signature freshness. Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Lifted ripe pear and spiced apple aromas overlay hints of honeysuckle, quince and faint traces of musk. Full and round in the mouth with good richness yet fresh at the same time, flavours of fresh pears and red apples meld with dried honey characters, quince, light musk and spice. Finishes dry with good fresh acidity and a long spiced pear, apple, quince and dried honey aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
