2017 A.T. Richardson Chockstone Riesling

Brilliant water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Lifted lime juice top notes intermix with lemon, green apple and steely mineral notes. There’s good intensity to the refreshing lime juice and citrus flavours which are underscored by some granny smith apple elements, wet steel and mineral. Finishes dry with crunchy acidity and a long lime juice, citrus, green apple, wet steel and mineral aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

I'm guilty of not including the Grampians as a high quality regional producer of riesling in Australia-wide comparisons. The perfumed bouquet of lime and apple blossom leads into a long, mouthwatering burst of lime/lemon, crisp acidity the icing on the cake. Drink by 2032.
