Williams Crossing is the second label of Curly Flat and this Pinot sees 12 months maturation in French oak of which 6% is new. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Perfumed aromatics of violets, ripe cherries and strawberries are overlaid by some anise with hints of smoky cedar and spice ensuing. Supplely textured the light to mid weight palate features delicious flavours of ripe cherries and dark strawberries which sit over a back drop of subtle anise, a light meatiness and spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Good power wave finishing long and savoury with an aftertaste of ripe cherries, dark strawberries, subtle anise and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
