Deep, slightly cloudy, dark red colour with a light red hue. Ripe dark cherry, plum and strawberry aromas emanate from the glass followed by lightly toasted oak, dried clove, subtle earth and spice. The palate possesses impressive weight and richness within a supplely textured framework. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries, plums and strawberries sweep across the palate with an underlying meatiness, lightly smoked cedar, subtle infusions of clove and spice ensuing. Silky smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with a lengthy conclusion of ripe dark cherries, plums, strawberries, a touch of dried meats, subtle dried clove and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
