Barrel fermented in new and seasoned French oak. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a distinctive tinge of green to the edges and a watery hue. The nose expels delicate aromatics of grapefruit, citrus and a hint of nectarine followed by some struck matchstick notes. Light in body with a touch of creaminess to the mid palate and a fresh ending the palate has flavours of white peaches, nectarines and citrus over traces of dried honey and gun flint. Finishes with vibrant acidity and an aftertaste of ripe nectarines, white peaches, citrus, subtle dried honey and gun flint.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews….
Small batch-fermented in French oak (18.5% new) on lees for 7 months with light battonage. The combination of high quality cool grown grapes and sensitive winemaking has produced this lovely chardonnay, the first release of a chardonnay in the Senses range. Delicacy teams with intensity (an oxymoron if ever there was one), grapefruit, white peach and nectarine the drivers, not the oak. Drink by 2029.
