2016 Torzi Matthews Schist Rock Shiraz

Impenetrable black as night core with a deep dark red black hue. Aromas of freshly crushed blackberries and black cherries intermix with a hint of liquorice over vanillin cedar, light fennel and pepper. Fleshy and bright the palate is filled with juicy blackberry, plum and liquorice flavours that are on the youthful side followed by vanillin cedar, infusions of fennel and spice. Excellent richness, velvet smooth tannins and a medium to long aftertaste of freshly crushed blackberries, plums, liquorice, vanillin cedar and subtlety spiced fennel.
