An excellent follow up to the superb 2015, this wine was matured for 10 months in French oak barriques. Semi translucent bright dark red core with a transparent crimson hue. Fragrantly scented nose with red and dark cherry aromas combining with strawberry over a back drop of subtle anise, dried meats and spicy cedar. Light in body weight yet with very good power the palate dishes up delicious flavours of ripe red and dark cherries along with strawberries over a subtle meatiness, traces of anise and spicy cedar. Finely grained, beautifully integrated tannin structure. Very savoury it finishes bright and lively with a long aftertaste of ripe cherries, strawberries, subtle anise infusions and spicy cedar. A delightful Pinot for everyday drinking.
Cellar 5-6 years.
