2016 St. Hallett Eden Valley Riesling

Brilliant water like colour with very faint tinges of green around the outskirts. The nose is a touch restrained with scents of lemon, lime juice, green apple and mineral present. Dry austere palate with delicate flavours of freshly squeezed lemon, lime juice and green apple lynch pinned by a core of steely acidity and mineral. Crisp acid finish with an aftertaste of lemon, lime juice, granny smith apple and steely mineral.
Cellar 6-8 years.

Pale straw-green; citrus and a hint of passionfruit on the bouquet narrow into a clear stream of lime juice and slatey acidity on the bracing finish and aftertaste of the palate. The balance of the wine guarantees it will richly repay patience, even if it is only for a year or two. Drink by 2028.
