2016 Sons of Eden Eurus Cabernet Sauvignon

Only made in exemplary vintages, Eurus is produced from the best Cabernet Sauvignon barrels and in 2016 was sourced from a single Eden Valley vineyard. Maturation took place in a mix of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads for 20 months.

Impenetrable black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Potent ripe red and blackcurrant aromas fill the nose intermixing with spicy herbs, vanillin cedar, traces of tobacco and light bay leaf. Rich and full the palate is layered with beautifully ripened red and blackcurrant fruits, mulberry and tobacco. Excellent intensity with background elements of spicy vanillin cedar and subtle infusions of fresh herbs complementing the fruit beautifully. Supple mouthfeel with superb tannin integration giving the wine a very refined and polished feel. Excellent power with a long spicy red and blackcurrant, tobacco, vanillin cedar, subtle mulberry and fresh herb aftertaste.
