Established in 1982 Scotchmans Hill are one of Bellarine Peninsula’s top estates. The fruit for this excellent 2016 Pinot Noir was de-stemmed to small fermenters with the inclusion of 15% whole bunches. Maturation took place in new to 4 year old French barriques for 12 months.

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light crimson red hue. Showing good perfumed lift aromas of violets, ripe cherries and strawberries mix with anise, some meatiness, forest floor and spicy cedar. Delicious spicy ripe dark cherry, strawberry and subtle anise flavours grace the elegant, supplely textured palate. Elements of lightly toasted cedar, some meatiness and spicy dried herbs flow onto the back palate. Bright finish with exceptionally fine tannins seamlessly interwoven with the fruit. Long conclusion of spicy dark cherries, strawberries, anise, lightly toasted cedar and spicy dried herbs.
