2016 Santolin Gladysdale Pinot Noir

15% whole bunch inclusion, aged on lees in French oak (30% new) for 10 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red brick hue. Pronounced ripe dark cherry and strawberry scents intermix with distinct gamey forest floor like characters followed by dried herb and spicy cedar notes. Delicious ripe cherry and strawberry flavours fill the supplely textured palate. Elements of forest floor, meaty characters, dried herbs and spicy cedar add complexity. Superb drive and length. Finishes with good bright acidity, polished tannins and a long ripe dark cherry, strawberry, forest floor, game, spicy cedar and dried herb aftertaste.
