2016 Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir

Shows excellent depth with a deep dark red core that has black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Potent aromatics of ripe dark cherries and dark plums laced with anise are trailed by traces of clove, forest floor and spicy cedar with a whiff of violets as an end note. The medium bodied palate possesses tremendous richness and power, flooded with a torrent of spicy dark cherry, dark plum and anise fruit which is carried by toasty cedar, dried herb and forest floor characters. Fine grained tannins have a sturdy underbelly. Concludes very long and sumptuous.
