2016 Patrick Piuze Terroir de Chablis

From a single vineyard that’s north facing, near 1er Cru Forets, this wine is aged 50% in tanks and 50% in neutral barrels.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Scents of pear tinged with a hint of dried honey are followed by traces of cashew with stony end notes and a touch of spice also evident. The palate combines good freshness with a nicely textured mouthfeel featuring flavours of delicate pear and citrus which sit over a wet stone and mineral backdrop. Clean dry finish with well balanced acidity. Aftertaste of light pear, citrus, wet stone, very subtle cashew and mineral.
