2016 Nepenthe Pinnacle The Good Doctor Pinot Noir

Matured for 10 months in French oak. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Showing good fragrance the nose emits dark cherry and strawberry aromatics overlaid by subtle smoky cedar, dried meats and spice. Light in body savoury flavours of ripe red and dark cherries, strawberries and a dash of red currants hold court over a back drop of lightly smoked cedar, some meatiness, dried herbs and spice. Slightly dryish finish but otherwise supple in its mouthfeel with finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe cherries and strawberries infused with smoky cedar, dried meats and spicy dried herbs. A light savoury style of Pinot.
