2016 Napa Cellars Pinot Noir

Matured in 27% new French oak. Opaque dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Ripe black cherry, dark plum and anise scents sail out of the glass followed by scorched earth, dried herbs and spicy oak. Rich, lush and full, concentrated black cherry and anise flavours dominate over a back drop of toasty oak, dried herbs and spice. Velvety mouthfeel with polished yet sturdily built tannins providing the framework. Good power with a long ripe, fleshy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
