2016 Montalto Pennon Hill Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a light crimson red hue. Fragrantly scented with subtle violet notes overlaying red and dark cherries, strawberries and spicy cedar. Faint whiffs of meatiness and dried herbs are also evident. Delicious flavours of spicy ripe red and dark cherries run across the supplely textured palate together with ripe strawberries underpinned by a touch of meatiness, spicy cedar and subtle dried herb infusions. Bright finish with perfectly integrated velvet like tannins. Light weight yet possessing an excellent power wave it concludes with a very persistent aftertaste of spicy ripe red and dark cherries, strawberries, some meatiness, light cedar and subtle dried herbs. Hard to resist drinking now, this delicious Pinot will also cellar 5-6 years.
