2016 M.Chapoutier Domaine Roc Folassiere Rose

Produced from Grenache and Syrah grapes. Translucent pale salmon colour with a watery hue. Elevated aromas of raspberries, strawberries, subtle peach and light musk drift from the glass followed by stony end notes. Light and nicely textured the palate features a savoury flavour profile of fresh peaches, raspberries and subtle winter strawberries over a stony back drop. Dry finish with good balanced vibrant acidity. Aftertaste of spicy peaches, raspberries, light citrus and subtle wet stone.

A new estate under the Chapoutier umbrella, Roc Folassiere is located between Avignon and Nîmes and covers 35 hectares of limestone and shale soils.
The light pink/salmon colored 2016 Côtes du Rhône Rose comes all from Grenache. It offers lots of citrus blossom, melon and spice, medium-bodied richness, vibrant acidity and a clean finish. It's a terrific, classic dry Rose to drink over the coming 3-5 months.
