2016 Kellybrook Shiraz

Matured in French oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose displays distinct blackpepper scents with hints of liquorice, black olive and smoky dried meats also evident. The palate shows much more primary fruit than the nose with blackberry and liquorice flavours dominate over a back drop of smoky vanillin cedar and some meatiness with a burst of blackpepper on the finish. Elegant, savoury feel with very polished tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar and dried meats all infused with blackpepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
