Gamay is the varietal used in the production of France’s famed Beaujolais region. Displays excellent depth for the varietal with a deep dark red core that has black tinged edges and a bright dark crimson red hue. Nosing offers up elevated scents of inky macerated cherries and plums over some earth and spicy dried herb end notes. Youthful with a juicy richness to it the palate has flavours of dark cherries, Morello cherries and plum combining over some earthiness, cedar and spicy dried herbs. Dry finish with bright acidity and refined tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherries, Morello cherries, inky earth like characters and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
