2016 Howard Vineyard Amos Chardonnay

Barrel fermented in 33% new and 67% seasoned French oak with partial malolactic fermentation and lees stirring to add texture. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint glimmer of green around the edges and a watery hue. Top notes of ripe white peaches and dried honey are followed by some cashew and citrusy nougat. Mid weight palate with flavours of ripe peaches and nectarines intermeshed with dried honey, lemon butter and cashew. Moderately creamy textural feel. Dry spicy finish with good freshness and an aftertaste of ripe nectarines, lemon butter, dried honey, cashew and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
