Nick Glaetzer began his winemaking journey with his family in the Barossa Valley, following with vintages in the Languedoc, the Pfalz, Margaret River, the Riverland, Sunraysia, the Hunter Valley and Burgundy. In 2005 Nick landed in Tasmania, searching for cool-climate, super-premium vineyards; perfect for crafting Pinot Noir, Riesling and savoury Shiraz. The concept behind his Avance Pinot came from Nick’s experience working and travelling through many winemaking regions on the European Continent which gave him an insight into the lighter wine styles, keenly sought after by the local village people for their fresh fruit driven flavours.

A deliciously fresh, fruit driven Pinot that’s hard to resist.

Matured for 7 months in seasoned French oak barriques. Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a light crimson hue. Gorgeously fragrant aromatics of violets, ripe dark cherries and strawberries blossom from the glass with anise and subtle spicy dried herb infusions ensuing. Light and fruity yet delivering excellent power and freshness the palate sports a delicious flavour profile of succulent ripe cherries, strawberries and raspberries laced with anise followed by hints of dried herbs and spice. Juicy supple mouthfeel finishing with bright acidity and silky smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, ripe strawberries, raspberries, anise infusions and spice.
Drink this delightful Pinot over the next 2-3 years.
