2016 Elgee Park Chardonnay

Matured in French oak for 11 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated white peach and nectarine aromas intermingle with dried honey characters, traces of grapefruit, struck matchstick and biscuity oak followed by hints of citrusy nougat. Medium bodied with a rounded textural feel to the mid palate and a fresh finish, flavours of white peaches, nectarines, subtle dried honey, biscuity nougat, infusions of struck match stick and light spicy cashew elegantly flow through the mouth. Clean dry finish with well-balanced acidity and an aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, subtle dried honey, flinty struck matchstick, biscuity nougat and spice.
