$395.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 4 Years (2020-2024)
ABV: 13%
Closure: Stelvin
From vines planted in the 1920’s and 1930’s La Roilette is regarded as one of the best sites in Fleurie. 15% of the cuvee was vinified in barrel none of which was new.
Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. A perfumed mix of violets, ripe red to dark cherries and clove greets the nostrils followed by some earth, infusions of incense and spicy dried herb notes. Light to medium weight, spicy red and dark cherry flavours are backed by scorched earth and dried herbs. Slightly dryish finish with plenty of freshness and polished tannins. Elegant medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews…..
Deep ruby. Highly expressive and focused on the nose, displaying an array of red/dark fruit, spice and floral qualities and a smoky mineral topnote. Juicy and energetic on the palate, which offers concentrated raspberry liqueur, spicecake and rose pastille flavors that are given spine by a core of minerality. At once powerful and graceful in style, finishing with strong, floral- and mineral-driven tenacity. Drink 2021-2028.
