2016 Campo dei Lecci Il Leccio

A blend of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Syrah. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Aromas of spicy dark cherries and earth emerge from the glass followed by some red currant, traces of tobacco and dried herbs. Light to medium weight the palate has flavours of spicy dark and dried cherries intermingling with earthy tobacco and dried herb characters. Dryish finish with slightly grippy tannins. Earthy aftertaste of spicy dark and dried cherries, tobacco and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
