2016 Brick Kiln Single Vineyard Shiraz

Matured in American oak hogsheads, 35% of which were new, for 24 months. Dense inky black colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady scents of liquorice, black cherries, blackberries and toasty oak with hints of dark chocolate, earth and pepper ensuing. Bold and opulent the palate is saturated with rich luscious black cherry and liquorice fruit which is intermeshed with smoky vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper. Excellent power with ripe, structured tannins backing the fruit. Long well packed conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
