Borgogno are known for their classic and unforced style, producing complex wines that age extremely well. Vineyard management has been organic and eco-friendly for many years, while they will be certified from the 2019 harvest.

Other Reviews....
Aromas of ripe strawberries with bark, cedar and hazelnuts. Some meaty undertones, too. Full-bodied with a tight palate, but opulent fruit oozes through at the end. Shows lots of promise for the straight-up Barolo. Try after 2023.

I know I say it a lot, but the style of Barolo Borgogno make, is exactly my thing. All Barolo here, from five crus – Cannubi, Cannubi San Lorenzo, Fossati, Liste, San Pietro delle Viole – just like Nonno used to make.
Red fruits, star anise, roses, aromatic herbs. It’s medium-bodied, kind of pretty, but appropriately firm. Lovely tussle between quiet succulence of fruit and tannin, ideal freshness, and a long finish with just a little blood orange coming through. So classic. Love this. Drink 2023 - 2039+
