2015 Warner Glen Estate Shiraz

Sourced from Warner Glen’s Karridale Jindawarra vineyard this Shiraz is a classic example of the depth and power that can be attained from Southern Margaret River Shiraz. Matured in French oak for 15 months, low yielding fruit from 20 year old vines has resulted in a wine with wonderful intensity of flavour and great structure.

Rich, powerful and infused with blackpepper, this is Quintessential Margaret River Shiraz.

Inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense black cherry, liquorice and blackberry aromas fill the nostrils with complexing notes of earthy vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper ensuing. Full bodied, the richly textured palate is bursting with opulent black cherry, liquorice and blackberry flavours with infusions blackpepper threaded through the rich black fruits. Elements of vanillin cedar, dried meats and spice add to the tapestry. Ripe chewy tannins give the otherwise opulent mouthfeel some grip. Excellent power and length with a long peppery aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, ripe black cherry, vanillin oak, smoky dried meats and spice.
