2015 Tscharke Gnadenfrei Shiraz

Totally opaque midnight black core with a deep dark red purple tinged hue. Scented aromas of fresh ripe plums, blackberries and liquorice rise from the glass over subtle infusions of dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak with faint peppery dried herb end notes. Full bodied and plushly textured the palate is generously flavoured with ripe dark plum, blackberry and liquorice flavours over a backdrop of lightly smoked vanillin oak, dried meats and spice. The velvet like tannins possess an underlying firmness and provide the wine with an excellent structure. Long aftertaste of spicy dark plums, liquorice, lightly smoked vanillin oak, dried meats and a touch of pepper.
