A richly flavoured, generously textured Yarra Valley Chardonnay from the great 2015 vintage that’s easy on the hip pocket.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish glimmer to the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose shows good elevation with aromatics of white peaches, fresh nectarines and citrus overlaid by faint dried honey and gun flint characters. Some lightly spiced biscuity oak and nougat then chime in. Richly flavoured and medium to full bodied, there’s a creamy like quality to the generous layers of fruit. Ripe white peach flavours laced with dried honey are married to ripe nectarine, biscuity nougat and light infusions of gun flint. Excellent textural feel finishing dry with a touch of spice and well balanced acidity. Great length with a long aftertaste of ripe peaches, dried honey, biscuity nougat characters, subtle cashew and spice. Outstanding value.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
From the Mansfield Vineyard, whole bunch-pressed directly to French oak, wild-fermented, matured for 11 months on lees, stirred once. Slightly deeper and brighter green-gold than the Punch Lance's Vineyard Chardonnay, the palate more complex and powerful but less intense and focused. The attention to detail is extraordinary in each wine, and which you prefer is a purely personal decision. Drink by 2024.
