The Prisoner is one of Napa Valleys most recognised red blends produced from Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Charbono grapes. Aging takes place in a combination of French and American oak barrels of which 30% are new.

Midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and subtle dark chocolate aromas ascend from the glass followed by spicy vanillin and a faint whiff of raisins. Full bodied, lavishly rich and possessing a voluptuous textural profile the palate is flooded with black plum, liquorice and blackberry flavours which hold sway over a back drop of vanillin oak and subtle raisin characters. Low acidity with very plush, supple tannins and a long conclusion of black plum, liquorice, blackberry, vanillin oak and spicy raisins. A rich, hefty Napa Valley blend.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 15.2%
