2015 The Patriarch Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Ripe blackberry and chocolate bullet aromas are overlaid by prominent vanillin oak with spicy pepper end notes. Soft and plushly textured the medium bodied palate has initial flavours of dark plums and chocolate bullets which are overwhelmed by vanillin oak on the back palate with some spice also present. Soft finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of vanillin oak, chocolate bullets and spice. Has too much coconuty vanillin oak.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
