2015 The Black Chook Shiraz

Fruit was sourced from the McLaren Vale & Padthaway regions to produce this Shiraz. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted ripe dark plum and liquorice aromas laced with a hint of dried apricot are followed by some smoky vanillin cedar and spice. Plump and juicy the palate is filled with a rich flavour profile of spicy dark plums and liquorice with a subtle overlay of dried apricot and ensuing smoky vanillin cedar. Slightly grippy tannins on the finish with an aftertaste of spice, juicy dark plums, liquorice, subtle infusions of dried apricot and smoky vanillin cedar.
