2015 Terre a Terre Crayeres Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 8 months in French oak barrels (35% new), then racked to a one year old oak foudre for 14 months further aging. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of ripe blackcurrant and mulberry tinged with hints of black olive followed by vanillin cedar, light earth and spice. Rich ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours flood the mouth underpinned by earthy vanillin cedar, traces of black olive and spice. Grainy tannins have a sturdy feel to them. Long spicy blackcurrant, ripe mulberry, vanillin cedar and subtle earthy black olive aftertaste.
