Semi-translucent dark red core with a brick red hue – quite advanced in colour for a 2015. The nose reveals a combination of red and sour cherries mixed in with a hint of rhubarb followed by whiffs of anise, toasty cedar and dried herbs. Light to medium weight and supplely textured the palate has flavours of red cherries and strawberries over some dried herbs and spicy, lightly toasted cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of ripe red cherries, strawberries, subtle dried herb infusions and spicy cedar. A very savoury Pinot.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc 12.9%

Other Reviews….
Part destemmed, part whole bunch, part cold soak, matured in French oak (25% new). Bright, clear crimson; a fragrant and highly expressive bouquet, the palate singing the same tune with the backing of red and black cherry fruit; the structure is admirable, with superfine tannins and great length. The best yet. Drink by 2027.
