$1260.00 Dozen
Cellar: 10 - 12 Years (2027-2029)
ABV: 14.5%

Powerfully rich and opulent yet structured with a long energetic finish.

Imperious inky black core that’s totally impenetrable with an equally deep dark purple black hue. Potent aromas of dark plum, ripe blackberry and liquorice mixed in with a hint of dark chocolate waft from the glass over vanillin cedar, traces of scorched earth and subtle spicy mocha notes. Incredible size and power with a dazzling display of rich succulent blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours decorating the opulent textured palate. Ensuing are nuances of ripe blueberries, vanillin cedar, faint chocolatey earth and spice. A massive effort with foreboding yet polished, ripely textured tannins providing an outstanding framework in conjunction with a good lick of fresh acidity. Exceptionally long aftertaste of luscious blackberries, liquorice, dark plums, ripe blueberries, vanillin cedar, traces of earth and spice.
Cellar 10-12 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews….
“Selected from 6 distinctive parcels from the east facing slope of Roennfeldt Road in Marananga.” Interesting to taste these wines. They have plenty of tannin, well-settled acidity, not a great deal of oak, and a ‘natural’ kind of feel. That is, they’re about fruit (and therefore vineyard) expression, yet also come across with a deluxe/prestige feel. They could even relight the fire of many a lapsed Barossa drinker?
Perfumed and floral, blueberry pie, raspberry, spice, grilled meat, subtle wild herb and liquorice. Full bodied, but not heavy, loaded with succulent red and black berries, distinct ‘mineral’ feel and flavour – pencilly even – fresh but unobtrusive acidity, and layers of thick graphite tannin to temper the bold fruit, closing with lush fruit, a slick of tannin, and alarming length. Strewth! Drink 2019-2035+
