2015 Shadowfax Shiraz

Fruit is sourced from the Port Phillip and Heathcote districts with maturation taking place in a mixture of new and used French oak hogsheads. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of black cherry, liquorice and blackpepper are overlaid by new leather, smoked meats and scorched earth. Medium weight this elegant, Northern Rhone styled Shiraz has flavours of liquorice, dried meats and dark cherries infused with blackpepper finishing with leather, scorched earth and spice nuances. Dry finish with firmish, grainy like tannins and good acidity. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, liquorice, leather, dried meats, scorched earth and blackpepper.
