2015 Scotchmans Hill Shiraz

Matured in new to 4 year old French barriques for 16 months. 15% whole bunch inclusion. Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Scented dark plum, blackberry and liquorice aromas combine followed by infusions of fennel, smoky cedar and spice. Rich blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours give the palate a juicy feel with an undercurrent of fennel, smoky vanillin cedar and spicy pepper ensuing. Youthful energetic finish with slightly grainy tannins providing good structure. Solid depth with a long spicy dark plum, blackberry, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper aftertaste.
