This Pinot included 15% whole bunches and was matured in new to 4 year old French barriques for 12 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a crimson red hue. Fragrantly scented nose with hints of violets, dark cherries and strawberries prevalent over subtle anise, some meatiness and spicy cedar. Light and elegant but showing good power the palate has flavours of dark cherries and ripe strawberries subtlety infused with anise over traces of meatiness and spicy cedar. Bright finish with finely grained tannins and a medium to long aftertaste of dark cherries, strawberries, subtle anise and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews…
Red plum, bing cherry and a lick of bitter cola and briar, all bright and on song, lead this wine out. Some oak gives cream and vanilla, icing the edges. The attack is impressive in its impact and juiciness. A bundle of savoury love at a fair price. Drink by 2023.
