2015 Roots Nero d'Avola

Matured in old French hogsheads and wild fermented with 25% whole cluster inclusion. Deep dark red purple colour with black tinged edges and a purple red hue. Very fragrant the nose offers up dark cherry aromas intermixed with violets and perfumed fresh herb infusions over some incense and spice. Light and savoury the palate has flavours of dark and red cherries infused with fresh herbs followed by faint earth and spice. Bright finish with finely grained, relatively soft tannins. Aftertaste of red and dark cherries, distinct fresh herb infusions and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
