In the early 1990’s Robert Oatley released the Rosemount GSM. This was the first wine to be labelled using the GSM acronym – it’s soft round texture and rich succulent fruit proved a huge hit with the drinking public and today the same GSM acronym is used widely throughout the industry.

A Superb GSM blend that over delivers.

A blend of 48% Grenache, 47% Shiraz and 5% Mourvedre with maturation taking place in French oak for 6 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. The nose offers up aromatics of liquorice intermixed with smoky incense and dark raspberries followed by some scorched earth and spicy pepper notes. Medium to full bodied with beautiful richness and a supple mid palate the wine possesses mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, blackberries and spicy dark raspberries with a smoky earth overlay followed by incense infusions and pepper. Fine grained, velvet like tannins have an underlying sturdiness. Excellent concentration and power with a long aftertaste of spice, liquorice, dark raspberries, smoky incense infusions and earthy pepper. Winner of a trophy and gold medal at the Adelaide show.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14%

Other Reviews….
A 47/46/7% blend, machine-harvested, open-fermented, cultured yeast, 6 months in new and used French oak. This is a really attractive GSM, with bright red juicy fruits that sweep you along to a fresh and lively finish. A touch of earth adds a sense of place. Drink by 2025.
