Rising up from the ashes of the Torbreck bust up, Dave Powell and his son Callum have put together a formidable collection of wines in a very short period of time. This sumptuous GSM blend is produced blend predominantly from Grenache with Shiraz and Mataro making up the balance. The parcels are matured for 15 months in 2,300 litre French oak foudres prior to blending and bottling.

Displays excellent depth with an impenetrable core that’s dark red black in colour and a deep dark red purple hue. Fragrantly scented the nose offers up a combination of dark raspberries, dark plums and liquorice followed by some blueberry, subtle incense infusions, hints of scorched earth and pepper. Boasting fabulous richness and concentration, the palate is overflowing with succulent dark raspberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours underpinned by infusions of incense, some earth and spicy pepper. Supporting the intense, pure fruit is a tannin structure that has an underlying sturdiness yet comes across as very polished. Superb power retaining a sense of freshness on the very long lasting finish of dark raspberries and liquorice laced with incense, earth and spice.
