2015 Penley Estate Atlas Coonawarra Shiraz

Totally opaque black crimson colour with a dark red purple tinged hue. Aromas of blackberries, liquorice and hints of dark chocolate coated cherries overlay some dusty vanillin cedar and pepper notes. Rich blackberry and liquorice flavours fill the full bodied palate with an undercurrent of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. The sturdy tannins provide an excellent framework to the fruit. Good depth with a medium to long ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate, earthy vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste.
