2015 Monterra Merlot

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of ripe mulberries and plum merge into a hint of liquorice, lightly dusted vanillin cedar and spice. Quite generous and rich in nature for Merlot the medium bodied palate dishes up juicy dark cherry, plum and subtle liquorice flavours over nuances of earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Plush mouthfeel with slightly dryish fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherries, plum, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spicy earth.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
