2015 Ministry of Clouds Kintsugi

A blend of Grenache, Mataro, Shiraz and a small amount of Cinsault basket pressed to 100% old French oak and matured for 10 months separately, then blended and given a further 6 months barrel aging.
Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a reddy brick like hue. Stemming from the glass are lifted aromatics of black raspberries, ripe dark cherries, liquorice and a hint of plum jam. Some earthy cedar and spice is also evident. Medium weight, juicy and concentrated the palate bares resemblance to a Chateauneuf du Pape with richly textured flavours of black raspberries, ripe dark cherries and liquorice over subtle earth, traces of dried herbs and spicy cedar. Supple mouthfeel with silky smooth tannins and bright acidity underpinning the fruit. Superb power with a lengthy finish of black raspberries, succulent dark cherries, liquorice, subtle earth, spicy cedar and traces of dried herbs.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
