Sourced from the Greenock and Moppa sub regions of Barossa with maturation taking place in American and French oak hogsheads for a period of 19 months.
Totally opaque black dark purple core with a deep dark red black hue. Lifted ripe dark plum and liquorice aromas are followed by blackberry, vanillin oak and spice. Full bodied the palate is awash with rich succulent flavours of liquorice, ripe dark plums and blackberries over a back drop of lightly toasted vanillin cedar and blackpepper. The fine grained almost velvet like tannins possessing an underlying sturdiness. Excellent length with a long finish of liquorice, blackberries, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spicy pepper.
