2015 Higher Plane Forest Grove Chardonnay

Barrel fermented and matured in French oak for up to 18 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of ripe white peaches and nectarines are married to some dried honey characters followed by hints of gun flint and nougat. There’s a roundness to the mouthfeel of this medium bodied Chardonnay but it also has great vibrancy on the finish. Generous ripe peach and nectarine flavours dominate over traces of dried honey, cashew and subtle spicy nougat. Well balanced acidity infusing the wine with freshness. Aftertaste of ripe white peaches, nectarines, flashes of dried honey, cashew and spice.
