Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. The nose emits aromas of ripe black cherries and liquorice with a scorched earth overlay and spicy end notes. Possessing good weight and concentration the palate features generous ripe black cherry and liquorice flavours which intertwine themselves with earth, toasty cedar and spice. Dry chewy finish with chalky tannins. Aftertaste of spicy black cherries, liquorice, strong toasty oak, earth and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Minimal intervention is a catchy phrase, Larry Cherubino using similar words without explanation on his back labels. This wine has a very good purple-crimson hue, the dark berry fruits of the bouquet translating onto a medium+-bodied palate with black cherry fruit neatly framed by a mix of spicy/savoury/licorice-accented tannins. Will age gracefully. Drink by 2030.
