2015 Heathcote Winery Slaughterhouse Paddock Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark purple core with a deep dark purple hue. Very aromatic the nose offers up ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin oak scents followed by a touch of spice. Full bodied succulent dark plum, liquorice and ripe blackberry flavours run into some toasty vanillin oak that’s quite prominent on the back palate and lingers right through to the finish with some spice also chipping in. Sturdy but velvet like tannins. Aftertaste of toasty vanillin oak, dark plums, liquorice, blackberries and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
